Darby Fire Company #1 EMS

The Darby Fire Company #1 owns and operates 3 ambulances on a daily basis. Two of the Ambulances are Basic Life Support Units and the Third unit is a Advanced Life Support Unit. The Advanced Life Support unit is staffed around the clock with staff from Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital and is housed at Station 04 along with the Volunteer Staffed Basic Life Support Ambulance. A second Basic Life Support Ambulance is housed at Sharon Hill Fire Co. (Station 09) and is also staffed around the clock with crews from Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital. Darby Fire Company #1 is one of the few fire stations around that continues to man a volunteer ambulance around the clock.
