Posted On: Monday, March 30, 2009Around 9am the box assignment went out for 121 Main street for a building fire. Engine 04-2 quickly went responding with 6 and was first on location, after investigating crews found food on the stove. The company performed ventilation and was quickly made available by 04-13B. The next call was around dinner time for a hazmat at 214 Hamilton. Engine 04-2 went responding with 4 to find two chemicals mixed together which created toxic fumes. Medic 04 transported one sick patient while crews performed ventilation. Car 6 and county hazmat were notified. The engine was on location for approx. an hour before returning available. The third call of the day was around 7:45 pm for a CO alarm at 319 S. 6th Street. Engines 04-2 with 7 and 04-1 with 6 were on location to find a faulty carbon monoxide alarm the company was quickly made available. The fourth and final call of the day went out right around 9pm. The company was dispatched to 926 Summit street for a fire alarm. Engine 04-2 went responding with 4 and Engine 04-1 went responding with 5. Crews found a faulty alarm system, the system was secured and the company was quickly made available.
